Calm Your Nerves

Families today are under pressure to keep their relationships relevant and their love growing.  For many when work and family responsibilities become too much they reach for a stimulant to keep them going such as coffee, tea, beer, alcoholic beverages, marijuana and other drugs.  Unfortunately, the stimulants let you down after they picked you up for a very short time causing your body to go on a roller coaster ride. The body then works hard to bring the body systems back to homeostasis where it was before the stimulant came inside.

We live in an over-stimulated society where emotions are kept at an all time high. The appetite is constantly being stimulated with drinks and hot spicy foods. Anytime we put something into our bodies that is not good the body responds telling us through the nerve endings that food is too hot and spicy and the stimulating drinks are having an abnormal effects on the body. This wears on the nervous system causing the fight or flight response to work overtime.  Many are living on nervous energy that is draining them and causing many health problems.

Nature provides the kind of stimulants needed for the body like the songs of birds and animals, the wind, the sun and rain. We can enjoy the trees of the forest that give off healing properties and the sound of leaves rustling beneath your feet. Come into the place of silence that heals the body, mind and soul.
